The Science Academy Report on Academic Freedoms– 2015

A number of events which have taken place in Turkey point to serious interferences with the academic freedoms much needed by scientists. In order to draw public attention to this matter, The Science Academy has issued its Report on Academic Freedoms 2015, excerpts from which can be found below:

The Science Academy Report on Freedom of Expression, Science and Social Development

A number of events which have taken place in 2016 in Turkey points to serious interferences with  freedom of expression & academic freedoms much needed by scientists.

ALLEA Statement on Hungary ( February 2019)

In response to the latest actions taken by the Hungarian Ministry for Innovation and Technology concerning the allocation of funding to the research institutes of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, ALLEA  reinforces its calls to protect the institutional autonomy and academic freedom of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
