From 2016, The Science Academy is starting a series of Annual Lectures by eminent natural and social scientists and scholars in humanities.

The first lecture will be given by reknowned astrophysicist Prof. Dame Jocelyn Bell Burnell, who is best known for discovering pulsars, one of the most significant scientific achievements of the twentieth century.

Ayşe Buğra, Winner of 2015 TWAS – Celso Furtado Award in Social Sciences

The Science Academy member Ayşe Buğra was awarded The World Academy of Sciences 2015 Celso Furtado Award for her contribution to research on social policy in emerging developing economies and globally, with a critical perspective on state-society-market relations in Turkey.
